This organizer is quite a fantastic idea. I like the possibility of sorting recipes in different books, which is what I can do. But I can not use the measurements and all other possibilities as I live in another country, Sweden. The other day I did something wrong. I can open my recipe organizer but I can not come further. Explanation: You closed the organizer wrong so it will be closed!But I congratulate those who came up with this idea. I uninstalled this software because it was just too busy for my use. After I started the program, something like four windows opened up, I started closing them and tryed to get a handle on the program. Which after a while I decided was way too much for my purposes and my computer. I was looking for something much simpler than your program. While your program may work well for some people, I was wanting something just to keep my favorite recipes organized. Thank you for the opportunity to check this program out though.

Cook'n stopped working for me after entering about 5 recipes, so I was unable to complete a good evaluation. However,it appears there is no easy way to copy recipes from a simple Word document without entering all the ingredients again individually. I do not really need all of the nice features in your program. I'm basically looking for something where I can: (a) organize m personal recipes (b) print them as a "chapter", (c) save them to a USB flash drive, (d) search by ingredient. After trying out a few recipe organization programs, I decided to purchase this one and did not regret it at all! It is very easy to enter your own recipes and do your meal planning in just minutes.

okay but not great I really liked the site and it was really easy to use. However, the "push" to sell me the upgrade to the organizer is so annoying that I think I will delete the program from my computer. I tried to enter new recipes today and every time I did that I got a pop up asking me to upgrade, I couldn't get past that. I hate things that say they are "free" and really aren't.

I could not get it to load! I tried several times to get this to load to Windows XP and each time I got run time errors. I tried it on several systems on our network and one independent system, still nothing. I spent a long while trying to determine the cause. The program downloads to my system, the files are all there, but when the .exe is initiated, it stops and I start getting errors. I'm sorry but I had to remove the software from our computers.

better then most I find that this program once understood will go along way in allowing you to run wild with making your own recipes without having to worry about everything that goes in to a recipe, the work is done for you, I would recommend this program to my friends.

Don't like. Downloaded to an XP sp2 machine. The interface is impossible to decifer, so you start clicking around. The moment you do, it crashes. It does not follow any standards at all for interface design. Looks like it was built as a school project by a 12 year old.

Although it says it works with MAC it does not so download failed.

Not quite what I`m looking for Hi, I'm basically looking for a good pantry/kitchen inventory keeper. Something that has stock on hand for each food item, keeps them in categories, possibly keeps storage place (i.e. fridge, freezer, shelf, etc.), and most importantly keeps the expiry date for the item. If you could run a report on what's about to expire, then you can plan menus to use that food more efficiently. I've been searching for months for an access template, and I've branched out to seek recipe databases, but haven't found anything, yet. Maybe I should just make my own.

Excellent resource.

This program is very helpful if you want to keep check on your calorie intake for the day. I find that if you can see what you are eating you will be more careful about the "little snacks" you take during the day.Phil.

Food File Great for some maybe for me. I found 'Food File' to be extremely detailed in regards to the food value and chemical analysis of foods. As a type I diabetic I will use it when no other easily identifiable souce of food value is listed. As always the extensive list of edibles is not all encompasing. I have yet to find a list that is. It did not place a shortcut on my XP home edition desktop confuser. I found the .exe file and created a shortcut myself. I like the sort fuctions and will definitely use the filters when I must eat out, or when ...

Microsoft maybe has the problem. I regret to inform you that every time I try to open Food File, I am notified by Microsoft that the Food File program has enncountered a problem and must close down. I have informed Kelpie, but have not received a reply.

A bit key heavy but quite nice....howeverI don't see a way to add basic ingredients.For example, apple cider vinegar, chutney..I can get the nutrient amounts from the package(I need calories, sat fat, cholesterol)..

Where others had confusing menus and a seeming lack of guidance, recipe catalog stepped in to offer me all the assistance I needed in figuring out how to enter my data in the correct areas. Cannot download I have been having trouble downloading programs including Now Youre Cooking. It looked to be a very worth while software program to use, but I have not yet been able to download anything so I cannot say anything about the features of it.

Great Program I have been playing with this program for a few hours now and I like what I see, I wanted something that could generate shopping lists form menus this does it nicely.I also like the fact that I can plan my menus simply, it includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. It would be great if we could have another field where we could imput other grocery item that are not food into the shopping list.

Now You`re Cooking So far, I've found this program pretty easy to use. I like the multiple features, like being able to put together a menu for the week, print a shopping list (aisle by aisle) and have the prices, too. I've found inputting the recipes quite easy. What the program lacks in instruction it excels in ease of use.
